Kimber Ingle, one of our members, recently shared her Time 2 Change Fitness for Women story with us — and it was so great, that we thought we’d share it here on our blog. Thank you, Kimber, for your kind words … and congrats on your hard work!

I have learned so much over the past two years of coming to Time 2 Change, but seeing this quote on the bulletin board sums it up! My first step through the door I knew without a doubt that my title was “unhealthy”! I was convinced I needed to make a change, or being unhealthy was going to lead to my demise. I battle so many health issues, and I was allowing those issues to dictate my physical future. I was feeling so defeated and really had given up. How could I fight against it all?

The first couple of weeks of training were …. tough. Since then, I’m addicted. Once I battled the start of my journey and started seeing results, I decided to keep showing up, fight and commit.

My results and my change, however, was not what I thought I was looking for — or what most women expect when you do work as hard as you can. I had to learn right away that it was about becoming healthy. It was about not running out of breath while walking down the street. It was about being strong! It was not about looking tone, tanned and muscular — it was about seeing all of my lab results and my medicine intake decrease by a large percentage. I am healthier today than I was in my 20s, 30s and now, at almost 50, I can say most of my 40s!

I love being strong. I LOVE being healthy. Years of letting go of myself and placing my troubles into the hands of the amazing staff at Time 2 Change was the BEST thing I could do for myself physically. The trainers are my support system, my encouragement and my family. I could not go on without saying, too, that I have met some of the most amazing women here who have become such good friends and my support system. We are all in this together — no competition, just encouragement. I’ve learned to keep showing up, keep fighting and stay committed.
