Teresa Yockey, owner
Teresa Yockey is the owner and manager of Time 2 Change Fitness for Women in Lee’s Summit. After working 18 years in the gaming industry holding several senior finance positions, she made the decision in early 2014 that it was time for a career change. In August 2014, she purchased the studio, and the rest is history!
Teresa has always incorporated fitness into her life, from teaching aerobics “back in the day,” to cycling and running a few full and half marathons the past few years. Weight training is her favorite way of staying in shape, along with HIIT (high intensity interval training) for cardio. Teresa received her personal trainer certification from the International Fitness Association.
When not in the studio, she loves spending time with her family that includes three sons, a daughter-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters.
Teresa believes that health and fitness is a journey, not a destination, which she has made a philosophy of Time 2 Change Fitness.
We have to make health and fitness a part of our lives every day, forgive ourselves when we fall off the wagon, then hop right back on! Being fit is so much more than how we look; it is about being strong and healthy as we face the unavoidable aging process! ♦ Teresa Yockey
